The Avvai Home from its very inception is designed to
serve the poor and hence the income from school fees is
very nominal, while the primary school charges no fees.
It has expanded from a shelter to a vast educational campus.
Today, we have about 2200 children studying in the campus.
Very little grant is received from the Government and
of course with generous help from philanthropists, it
has been possible to extend service to a large population.
All our buildings are very old and need to be replaced,
as it is not feasible to get them repaired. We appeal
to you to donate liberally for the construction of new
buildings, so that we continue to serve the society.
Our Requirements:
HOME
Food - Rs. 5,000 per day
Breakfast - Rs. 1,500 per day
Lunch - Rs. 2,000 per day
Dinner - Rs. 2,000 per day
Personal Care/Hygiene (including Soap, Toothpaste, Oil,
Shampoo and Napkins) - approximately Rs. 10,000 per
month.
Teachers' Salary Requirements - Rs. 1,00,000 per month
Mats and Bedsheets - Rs. 25, 000 per year
Cheques to be drawn in favor of Avvai Home and Orphanage.
All donations to the Avvai Home are eligible for exemption
under Section 80G of the Indian Income Tax Act.
